The Industrial Biotechnology Network Norway (IBNN)

is your gateway to Norway’s biobased industry and industrial biotechnology sectors. The network was established by Innovation Norway, the Research Council in Norway and SIVA together with industry and R&D institutions. The initiators want to stimulate to cross-sectorial knowledge transfer and innovation.



Norwegian industry and R&D institutions shall be in the forefront of the knowledge-based bioeconomy, more specifically in industrial biotechnology and the sustainable use and processing of biobased raw materials (biorenewables), from marine, forestry and agriculture resources.



IBNN aims to strengthen the innovative development of new and existing processes, products, applications and markets of the Norwegian bio-based industry and industrial biotechnology sector.
